Seattle Slew's journey to winning the Triple Crown started on May 7 1977 when the thoroughbred and jockey Jean Cruguet overcame a bad start to win the Kentucky Derby. In a move still written about today with 20 yards to go to the finish line in the Belmont Stakes Cruguet stood up in the stirrups raised his right arm over his head and jubilantly gave the crowd a victory salute by waving his whip in the air. Jean Cruguet has hand signed this striking 8x10 photo of Seattle Slew standing up in the stirrups. A PSA Hologram and Certificate of Authenticity is included. Custom White Mat and Premium Black Framed as shown.
